Round two

So, here it is .....the difficult second blog. I have thought about this one quite a few times this week and what I might write about, mainly to take my mind off what's been a tough week at work; a bit of Disney day dreaming is good for the soul.

And I have decided it has to be food and friends; sounds like a good evening to most people but this is more about planning and support.

I have the most understanding sister/ friends who put up with my obsession and in some cases have been converted into Disney fanatics including my lovely sister (best friend) Emma who is also thinking about her next Disney holiday (she is coming back with us in 2014) and I am sure I will mention my girls in the future. So while its on my mind I just wanted to say thank you for putting up with me and humouring my inner child.

As for food I recently discovered the Disney food blog and love nothing more than my phone pinging to tell me I have a new email each evening and then sitting drooling over the pictures thinking of new places to eat on our next visit.

The blog was a great resource when we were planning where we were going to eat on the quick service dining plan as I didn't fancy spending 2 weeks eating burgers and fries but its a good idea to eat before you visit the website otherwise you just end up wanting to eat everything in sight.

We tried the Katsura Grill in the Japan pavilion at Epcot and the Boardwalk Bakery where we found the little sweet treat pictured below; the Oreo Cookie Bon Bon Cupcake (it's good, but not as good as my friend Nic's cupcakes - Disney take note!!!)

This weeks planning was researching the new Be Our Guest restaurant which opens in December trying to find menus and reviews from the soft openings - I have read its all very high tech and has quite a high chance of making it into my top ten places to try if the feedback is good.....

Until next time.....now all this talk about food has made me hungry off to the fridge I go

When can I go back

My life seems to revolve around wishing I could go back to Walt Disney World or planning our trip once it is booked. My first trip was back in September 98 and was just a way of getting my other half to America; never did I think we would be bitten by the Disney bug and 14 years later we would be planning our 12th trip!

I wouldn't even say that I was wowed by Disney the first time we went, but I think that was down to my work situation which meant I never really stopped to see how incredible it could be.

Fast forward to 2000 and we returned, this time staying on site for the first time and in a much better place in my personal life (my other half was now my husband, work was better and we were settled in our new home).

I don't know what happened either I found my inner child or I got bitten by a Disney bug but I fell in love; even though it wasn't  the first time I'd looked down Main Street and seen the castle it felt magical.

So now my life is all things Disney with our home looking like a smaller version of the Disney store, my iPod is filled with Disney podcasts and music, I follow other Disney bloggers and am a member of lots of different Disney communities.

Let the planning commence for 2013, we are back to Port Orleans resort which we fell in love with this year.
